Phil

Would you mind telling us a little bit about your role at WorkCast?

My role at WorkCast as a Business Development Representative involves me being the first point of contact for any new business inquiries and nurturing leads and potential clients to make sure we are the correct fit for them. From general information about digital events to taking them through to the point of sale.

What does a typical WorkCast day look like for you?

A typical workday for me involves me starting around 8:45 am with a large coffee to take a look over my emails and plan the day ahead with what leads we've had overnight and attend our internal meetings. Then I start any tasks I have for the day including calling any leads, emails, and keeping up to date with what is going on in the digital event world.

What do you find most rewarding about your role?

One of the things I find most rewarding about my role is when you get an inquiry from a prospective client that is looking to run an event but isn't quite sure what they want from it. So I listen to them and give them my expert advice on what it is WorkCast can do and help them all the way through our process.  Knowing I, and we as a company, have helped them to deliver a successful event is a great feeling.

What advice would you give someone planning an online event?

I'd advise taking a look at what is out there on the market, attending some events digitally, and that planning is key to the success of any event. You'll always be given expert advice to help you deliver on what you envisage from any one of our team.

Now for a to find out a little bit about out of office Phil...

What inspires you?

This is such a hard question as there are many things that give me inspiration in life from public figureheads like the Queen and Amy Winehouse to artists such as Banksy. So I believe there are many things in life you can draw inspiration from and I have too many to name them all.

What are you currently watching on Netflix?

Selling Sunset and I'm also addicted to The Wheel of Time on Prime.

What do you like to do when you aren’t working?

I love to travel (when we are allowed) and collect stamps in my passport. Other than that I love to take the dogs on walks and spend time with friends and family.

If you could have one special power, what would it be?

Time travel. There are moments in history I would love to have seen and been there for.
