Employee Spotlight: Meet Sarah | Management Accountant

It's always nice to get to put a face to a name or an email address. That’s why we're shining a light on the amazing people of Team WorkCast. In our latest employee spotlight, we speak to Sarah Ralph, Management Accountant at WorkCast. 

Sarah, can you tell us about your role at WorkCast?
My official title is Management Accountant which includes all the elements of the finance team - accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, etc.. I also cover HR and general office duties for the team. 

Describe a typical day for you at WorkCast
I work part-time, so on my first day of the week - Tuesday, it is often manic. I have a lot of emails to respond to and lots of people wanting to speak with me. After that I can usually concentrate on my general daily tasks like bank reconciliation, invoicing, and supplier invoicing.

If it happens to be the end of the month, you'll find me scrambling to pull reporting and figures together for everyone. 

What is your favourite thing about WorkCast?
I love the fact that even though it's a small company, WorkCast does its best to go above and beyond for their employees. They really focus on making it a positive work environment and provide us with a variety of different perks and benefits.

What's the last song that you listened to on repeat? 
A Million Dreams from The Greatest Showman soundtrack.  My three year old and I dance around the house listening to it. Listen here. 

What's next on your bucket list? 
Mad, but I would really love to be able to do a cartwheel.

In terms of my travel bucket list, I am waiting for the day I can take my little boy to Disney World. I want him to be old enough to remember it as it will be a once in a lifetime thing. I also don't want money to be an issue, if I want 10 bottles of butterbeer, I'll have 10 bottles of butterbeer. 

And finally, what are you looking forward to in the next year?   

We have family out in Tokyo, so I am very excited to visit them next March. I just hope that we can fit everything in!
